Sandra Chiles

Role: 
Managing Director - FRCSA

Sandra started the first specialist travel recruitment agency in Australia in 1981 after enjoying a successful career in both Retail Travel Consultancy and Agency Management. Commencing as Interim Travel Personnel in 1981 her company has continued to grow over this time and is now known as inPlace Recruitment.

Sandra holds formal qualifications in Recruitment Consultancy and is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Travel and Tourism. Sandra is a prominent and respected member of the Travel and Tourism Industry and is a fountain of recruitment knowledge. She established the first client forum to address the critical skills shortage in the industry, culminating in the development of the Travel Industry Careers Association (TICA). When she's not running the business she loves to go fishing - She once caught a 10kg Taylor in Botany Bay... or so she says!

Peter Jackson

Role: 
Senior Account Manager - MRCSA

Peter is our extremely well connected hospitality recruitment specialist. He has over 12 years' experience in hospitality recruitment and 11 years working in the hospitality industry and has an extensive network of clients and candidates within this industry.

Recruiting for all areas of hospitality and events  Peter focuses on developing long term relationships and partnering with his clients and candidates to ensure their business needs and career goals are achieved. Peter holds a Diploma of Hospitality and with over 12 years experience working within hotels and the catering sector he has the knowledge and ability to identify quality talent. In his spare time Peter enjoys spending time with his family and surfing. 

Susan Chand

Role: 
Senior Account Manager

Susan joins us with over 14 years' experience in recruitment. Having handled positions across the travel/tourism, hospitality, accounting/bookkeeping and contact centre space.  Susan has worked on roles from entry level to General Manager within the above industries.
 
Prior to recruitment, Susan worked in the Travel industry for 11 years within the corporate market for Qantas Business Travel. She has successfully completed her Diploma in Human Resource Management. Her strengths lie in her ability to manage the customer experience - both client and candidate.  She believes that success is achieved through nurturing long term relationships and keeping the needs of the customer at the heart of what she does.
 
In her spare time Susan likes to spend time with her family and friends and can often be found in the outdoors enjoying paddle boarding, skiing, music festivals and all things related to food!

Kristi Gomm

Role: 
Marketing Manager - MRCSA

Kristi has been a member of the inPlace Recruitment team since 2001. Kristi has established excellent relationships with our clients and she brings a wealth of recruitment knowledge and experience to her role as well as over 15 years travel industry experience. In 2014 she moved into a Marketing position and is now the Marketing Manager at inPlace giving Kristi a chance to put her creative talents to good use. 

Prior to joining inPlace, Kristi was a Sales Executive for Newmans and Ski Express and she has also worked for Queensland Travel and other diverse roles in the retail, corporate and sales sectors. Kristi holds several recruitment qualifications as well as a Diploma in Tourism Management & a Certificate of Advertising & Marketing. Kristi has a passion for travel, having lived and worked in the Whitsunday's, London and Canada. In her spare time, Kristi enjoys the beach, paddle boarding, skiing, camping, writing, teaching dance, photography and spending time with her family.

Cristina Gines

Role: 
Senior Recruitment Consultant

Cristina Gines joins us as a Senior Recruitment Consultant with over 25 years of experience in the Travel Industry, coupled with an generalist background in Human Resources. 
 
Cristina has an extensive background in the Airline Industry. From Retail Travel to Corporate Consulting, as Supervisor and later Operations Manager of a Business Travel Centre, Cristina was highly successful in recruiting and retaining staff who were renowned for their customer service. Cristina has a passion for the travel industry and recruitment and in her spare time she enjoys interior design, renovating houses and spending time with her family.
